Microsoft's Windows 8 developer preview greeted us with an interface steeped in Redmond's new Metro model -- its tile-centric start display screen is modern, fresh, and downright pretty. Think about our shock then, when the preview's desktop default view punted us straight again to the modern "Aero" dressing of Home windows 7. It is not an unsightly interface by any means, however shiny, translucent window frames are so last generation. Where's the model? In the large M's newest Building Windows 8 preview, of course. The MSDN blog's newest Activity Manager replace exhibits the familiar feature in a clean Metro suit. Though Aero remains to be the OS' default look, the Windows 7 basic theme has been substituted for a style closely inspired by Metro's clear tiles. The put up would not say a lot on the matter (nothing at all, actually), nevertheless it's good to see the basic interface getting a facelift to match Microsoft's new look. Wish to see more? Hit the supply link under, it's received all of the Metro window frames you would ask for.
Replace: This post initially misstated that the up to date Primary theme was a new style, but actually, it's already out there within the Home windows 8 developer preview.
